Here's a little bit of randomness for you - did you know that John Smerglia is an ATF (alcohol, tobacco, firearms) agent? And that he was shot last year? (Flesh wound or something relatively minor - I mean, he's OK now.) It just kinda makes me laugh to think of John running around all big and bad with a badge and a gun.
Hey Kiersten! I'm glad that you love living in VA! We actually just drove through VA last week and it is so beautiful. I love the scenery there! How's the job going? Everything is good with me. The boys keep me busy. I'm working part-time and mostly from home for Accenture doing post-payment auditing. I like it because it's a good balance between work and the boys. Yes, we are still in Jackson. We actually live 4 houses down from my parents, which is convenient for baby-sitting. Let me know if you are back in town. If nothing else, maybe we’ll run into each other at church around Christmas time!
Yes, but I can't believe how fast time goes--has it really been 10 years?! Glad you found a good career fit for you! I have been in Cleveland the last 4 years and see my parents about once a month. We are moving out to Phoenix at the end of August (my husband got a job transfer)...so that means making new friends and not seeing our families as much as we do now. We are so grateful and excited for the opportunity but dreading the goodbyes.
Your job sounds like a really good fit for you, you history buff! How did you stumble into that position? Do you make it home often? I can't get over that it's been 10 years (and how little I have to say for what I've done in those 10 years other than work and school!).
I moved out to Virginia in 2002 to go to grad school at George Washington Univeristy. I am currently a Historian at Sully Historic Site for the Fairfax County Park Authority.
